The ADCA offers a knowledge base, which is accessible for both affiliates and the general public. Furthermore, we offer tools to locate data centers (see the data center map). By combining our knowledge with our partners, we are able to provide our participants relevant insights and resources.
White Paper: The Adoption and Use of Data Centre Standards in Africa
This White Paper gives an overview of the desired use of standars in Africa and highlights the importance of the use of standards for the African data center market. It is imperative that we underpin our global digital infrastructure with common internationally agreed standards and metrics to avoid confusion and improve consistency. White Paper: Growing Africa’s Data Center Ecosystem: An Assessment of Utility Requirements
To estimate Africa’s capacity requirements, Xalam Analytics together with the ADCA, developed a model covering Africa’s 54 countries and territories. The model considers a handful of key variables, all of which represent some of the core drivers of demand for data center capacity.
White Paper: African Climate & Datacenter PUE
This White Paper is based on a survey performed by the African Data centres Association (ADCA) during summertime 2020 and with the most importants Datacenters providers in Africa. As you will discover, even if the number of Datacenters is still limited in Africa, the Continent proves that despite the non conducive climate, there is no obstacle to develop local IT infrastructures.
White Paper: African Data Centre Landscape
Africa has the potential to create huge demand for data centres. In this report, emphasis is placed on challenges associated with power and cooling alongside areas of opportunities for investors to step in and help close these gaps.
White Paper: Improve Energy Efficiency of Africa Data-center and Reduce Cost Of Operations
Computers are an integral part of people’s lives in Africa. Powering this information and product exchanges are data centers, which house millions computer servers in the Africa and 20 million worldwide. Operating these devices – running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – requires significant amounts of electricity. In this white paper we will be discussing the energy and cost efficiency in African data centres.
White Paper: Business Continuity
Africa has started its own journey fighting the COVID-19 illness. It is important that the formal and informal economies can keep functioning, whilst maintaining social distancing. The solution relies on digital tools and ecosystems, all of which are underpinned by data centre infrastructure.
Read more on how the African data centre infrastructure can guarantee business continuity for the continent in this white paper.
