White Paper – African Climate & Datacenter PUE 2026

The PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) is the most common parameter used by the data center industry. This metric is used to determine the energy efficiency and is obtained by dividing the total energy entering a data center over a year by the energy used by its IT equipment. PUE is therefore expressed as a ratio, with overall efficiency improving as the quotient decreases toward 1. Other key parameters such as WUE or ERE are also increasingly considered to assess the infrastructure performance. PUE was created by members of the Green Grid, an industry group focused on data center energy efficiency. Download the white paper below.
